~Visiting a private garden graciously opened up once a year

~Gardens filled with textures and colors that are a feast for the eyes and the soul

~Spending the day with family on Mother's Day

~The sight of Black-eyed Susans filling the gardens

~The scent of roses on a humid evening

~The variety of textures found on Rose of Sharon blossoms

May 8th- A few of my favorite things...

~A Mother's Day trip to Sycamore Hill Gardens to get lost among gorgeous plants artfully arranged

~To spy the pleasant surprises of statuary artfully placed in abundance throughout each garden

~The fun of S'mores Cookies after all that walking...and an iced coffee and mini-cupcake just for moms 

Dec 17th- A few of my favorite things...

~The confidence of a young artist to rethink her design

~Deciding that like people, gardens can't have too many friends

~The final design ready to wrap... knowing that besides thread, love is woven throughout for its recipient

~The rainbow of floss that becomes the seed to...
