Dec 5th- A few of my favorite things...

~The amazing discovery of a sweet set of farm animals that have been in the ground for over 100 years

~The satisfying journey of gently cleaning off layers of the clay soil it once was buried in

~The astonishment of revealing that the original paint that survived all these years

May 12th- A few of my favorite things...

~Bright yellow primroses low to the ground

~A double bloom tulip that reminds you that peony season is right around the corner

~A lovely year for lilacs

Apr 20th- A few of my favorite things...

~Small purply-pink rhododendron blossoms on a bush 

~Mauvy-pink Lenten roses clustered on the ground

~Magenta-purple eastern redbud blossoms on the branch

Mar 20th- A few of my favorite things...

~A robin singing to greet the sunrise on the first day of Spring 

~The sun shining on the greenery and flowers already poking out of the ground

~Geese and other birds to close out the day as the setting sun sets due west...Spring has arrived

Nov 6th- A few of my favorite things...

~Checking out the village garden in the fall

~Gold being carried on the wind

~Watching the golden leaves flutter to the ground...maybe this is where the leprechauns have obtained their spring hoard?

Oct 6th- A few of my favorite things...

~A bright colorful leaf contrasting with gray cement 

~A vibrant collection of color at your toes

~A fleeting patchwork quilt blanketing the ground before wind and rakes carry it away

Sept 27th- A few of my favorite things...

~A yellow horse chestnut leaflet caught by a green hedge on its way to the ground

~A yellow sugar maple leaf testing on the grass

~A yellow silver maple leaf that even hard on concrete looks golden
