THe Habit of Thankfulness: A Few of My Favorite Things

 May 11th- A few of my favorite things...

~Collecting a bowlful of the humble dandelion to make a tasty treat
~Straining the tea from soaking the flowers overnight and turning the liquid into jelly
~The satisfying popping sound of the seals on the jars after their water bath signaling the dandelion jelly is ready to be enjoyed throughout the year

May 13th- A few of my favorite things...
~Taking a few simple ingredients,...
~Mixing them according to the recipe...
~And having delicious dandelion jelly in the end.
(PS- it tastes like honey, but then I guess the bees already know that :-) )

~Neighbors who bring me flowers or let me pick theirs to make jelly...I make sure they get a jar smile emoticon
~Finding mushrooms have magically appeared on the garden path after days of rain
~Raindrops clinging to a spider web...not quite the catch he was looking for
