Jan 24th- A few of my favorite things...

~Mixed batter poured into an awaiting hot, buttered cast iron pan

~A hot partly-cooked batter moved to the oven to finish baking

~Dutch baby pancakes, plain or with blueberries, for dinner

~A tree that gives new meaning to blue spruce

~A tiny tree that aspires to be a white pine

~Leaves that dapple a plain green lawn with color

~Leaves that line sidewalks and lawns with a satisfying crunch

~Leaves that turn ordinary concrete into gold, if just for a while
