Jan 24th- A few of my favorite things...

~Mixed batter poured into an awaiting hot, buttered cast iron pan

~A hot partly-cooked batter moved to the oven to finish baking

~Dutch baby pancakes, plain or with blueberries, for dinner

Nov 1st- A few of my favorite things...

~Watching November coming to Hanover Square and seeing a flock of starlings not being able to hide so well,

~Finding that the "extra" finial piece on the Syracuse Savings Bank Building is a peregrine falcon with a mate snacking nearby, and

~Spying a pigeon who seems to be glad he was not invited to dinner

Mar 18th- A few of my favorite things...

~An afternoon with bike shadows on our first trip by bike to the lock for the season

~An evening trip to Onondaga Lake Park to break out other wheels dormant since fall

~A dinner picnic by the lake savoring the gift of an unusually warm day

Jan 6th- A few of my favorite things...

~Watching the kiddos try new types of strombolis and calzones

~Old favorites like wings, garlic knots, and salad

~The gift of dinner from a friend from Towpath Pizza...Thank you!

Dec 10th- A few of my favorite things...

~A dinner and dessert at a special young lady's request

~A gift that brings the smiles that she freely gives out to others

~Celebrating the 11th anniversary of her Adoption Day...the day that made an her official part of our home

Oct 5th- A few of my favorite things...

~A wee little snake looking for a midnight snack

~A small toad trying to blend in waiting for dinner to pass by

~A grasshopper hiding trying not to be the next meal

~Watching young imaginations playing with a pop-up dollhouse

~Secrets to discover behind closed doors and real stairs between floors

~Snippets of life in the doll family: A piano lesson, a tea party, a conversation before dinner
