May 12th- A few of my favorite things...

~A trip down the towpath as the land turns a verdant green

~Making it down to the tracks in time hear the clang of the crossing gates coming down...and waving to the engineer

~A sun setting further north of west along the Spring horizon

Mar 19th- A few of my favorite things...

~A riding buddy who always game for a ride

~Watching her confidence and skill biking improve over the last year

~Making it to the lock and back before the skies opened up

Mar 18th- A few of my favorite things...

~An afternoon with bike shadows on our first trip by bike to the lock for the season

~An evening trip to Onondaga Lake Park to break out other wheels dormant since fall

~A dinner picnic by the lake savoring the gift of an unusually warm day

Jan 30th- A few of my favorite things...

~A trip down to the old lock with my skiing buddy

~The things you notice in the winter that are hidden the rest of the year

~Waiting to watch the train to pass, and being treated to two, before heading home

Oct 31st- A few of my favorite things...

~A walk down to Lock 51 to soak in the color of the changing leaves,...

~Spy a few last flowers enjoying autumn with me,  and... 

~Finding a few creatures awaiting spring as fall begins to wind down

Apr 27th- A few of my favorite things...

~A stroll down the old towpath as evening begins to wane

~A nest tucked away safely in the old lock

~Finding a spike from another mode of travel that faded into time like the old canal

Apr 11th- A few of my favorite things...

~A quick bike trip to the Lock before the rain 

~Spring flowers gracing the trail sides

~A smiling pumpkin along the path's edge that seems to be enjoying the day too
