~Trip down the towpath with sunshine that's longer each evening

~Arriving to the tracks in time to see two trains traveling west on the tracks 

~A spotting snapping turtle and a turtle nest on the towpath

May 12th- A few of my favorite things...

~A trip down the towpath as the land turns a verdant green

~Making it down to the tracks in time hear the clang of the crossing gates coming down...and waving to the engineer

~A sun setting further north of west along the Spring horizon

~From the greening of trees and shrubs along the towpath...

~To a Green Machine on the towpath,...

~Green is definitely the color of the season

Apr 23rd- A few of my favorite things...

~Spying delicate blue egg shells along the towpath

~A bush that caught a maple tree's bouquet

~Tulips on the cusp of blossoming

Mar 13th- A few of my favorite things...

~Out on the trail for likely one of the last times this winter

~A tree that wanted to reach down and say goodbye to the snow before Spring takes its hold

~A light dusting of snow to highlight the old canal wall and cover the towpath one more time

Mar 6th- A few of my favorite things...

~Snowdrops peeking out of the garden reminding us that winter's grip is waning

~Barren branches reaching skyward toward the sunlight

~Bright blue skies along the towpath in contrast to the sleepy landscape below

Feb 28th- A few of my favorite things...

~An afternoon ski excursion down the towpath

~Noticing that from the right angle, a brook forms a heart

~The surprise of a sun halo peeking around the roof of the house upon my return

Feb 5th- A few of my favorite things...

~Beautiful skies after the snow

~Fresh snow to ski along the trail

~Winter's beauty that can only be soaked in trailside at  a slower pace

Jan 19th- A few of my favorite things...

~A good day to go to the sledding hill to ride down and learn how to snowboard

~A good afternoon to cross country ski on the towpath 

~A good night to learn how to snowshoe in the old canal prism
