The Habit of Thankfulness: A Few of My Favorite Things

Sept 13th- A few of my favorite things...
~Getting blow and hear a real old steam whistle
~Riding a boat across a restored aqueduct on the Old Erie Canal in Camillus, NY
~Piggy-back rides from big sister

An original steam train whistle...


...with original sound!


This steam engine powered the Smith Typewriter factory in Syracuse, NY.
It was removed before the building was demolished 
and restored to its original condition.

~Finding treasures in Nine Mile Creek
~A fisherman, who didn't mind the girlies watching him, helping him bait the hook, reel in the fish, and teaching them about fishing...thank you! You made their day smile emoticon

~Making and trying new foods: Kumquat-Orange Marmalade (Paddington Approved)
~Watching the girlies having fun throwing stones into rushing waters of Nine Mile Creek in Marcellus
~Thea looking at the rocks at her feet by the creek and excitedly exclaiming "Fossil!!!" and she did find a fossil rock
