May 13th- A few of my favorite things...

~Wild garlic mustard beginning to bloom

~Spirea beginning to open its bouquet collection on its branches

~The first spying of roses for the season

Apr 29th- A few of my favorite things...

~The beauty of crimson leaves unfurling

~The contrast of crimson leaves with yellow flowers

~The delicate appearance of pink flowers with crimson branches

Feb 19th- A few of my favorite things...

~The surprise of two eagles in a field...and a third in a tree! 

~Momma Eagle watching Junior taking his quarry up to a waiting branch

~Then noticing Papa Eagle, in the branches above, is watching over Junior while Momma takes a lookout spot from behind

Oct 12th- A few of my favorite things...

~Hydrangea leaves turning shades of reddish purple

~An orangy-red serviceberry leaf on display on a hosta leaf

~Eastern redbud leaves turning shades of red showing its love for fall, not on its sleeves, but on its branches

Oct 4th- A few of my favorite things...

~Colors that seem to set the trees aflame

~Leaves that seem to be on display just for you

~Branches that seem to be reaching out to high five each other on a season well done

May 16th- A few of my favorite things...

~Dogwood blooms abundant on its branches

~Dandelions like snow on the sledding hill

~Spirea bouquets filling the bushes with diminutive bouquets befitting fairy folk

Apr 28th- A few of my favorite things...

~A tree trunk that has earned its stripes

~Branches ladened with wild black cherry blossoms

~A canopy of white against a blue sky that is a welcomed sight after winter

~Tiny bouquets of spring filling the branches

~Tiny bouquets carried in little fingers

~Tiny bouquets filling the canopy, harkening to Spring's presence all around

May 14th- A few of my favorite things...

~Tiny gingko leaf fans emerging from it branches

~Tiny heart leaves emerging from an eastern redbud

~Crimson King Norway Maple against a bright blue sky

Sept 26th- A few of my favorite things...

~Crunchy leaves for tossing into the air

~Color expanding on the hillside under a watchful moon

~The mysteriousness of the moon through hazy clouds and branches 

Sept 22nd- A few of my favorite things...

~Orange in the pumpkins and mums

~A riot of colors on the branches

~A flag that sums up a fresh start in a new season: Happy Fall Y'all!

May 1st- A few of my favorite things...

~Gold shining across the sky from a benefactor who will be back in the morning

~Spying half of the moon through not-quite-barren branches that will have set by morning

~Glittery round jewels scattered across the ground that will slowly vanish once the golden benefactor returns to collect them in in the morning

Apr 1st- A few of my favorite things...

~The sound of song from up in a tree

~The flash of red from a cardinal that gives away his hiding place

~The hopping little bounces of small birds as they find their way through the branches
