Oct 27th- A few of my favorite things... ~The striping of fields caused by planting and harvesting ~The golden brown color of corn ready to harvest ~Farms nestled into a hillside of color
Sept 7th- A few of my favorite things... ~A farm surrounded by harvest ~Corn standing in rows like an army ready to do battle with the coming harvesting ~Putting my my new thumb rest on my clarinet...I can finally comfortably reach the lower keys!!! (something I have never been able to do)
July 6th- A few of my favorite things... ~A squash blossom trying to disguise himself as an ear of corn ~Spying the deep blue feather of a blue jay ~A bumper crop of black-cap raspberries that would make my great grandpa proud :-)
May 29th- A few of my favorite things... ~Finding swirls in the drying hay on the hillside ~Parallel lines of corn sprouting on a rippled landscape ~Curving lines that connect with the straight rows on the fields
May 6th- A few of my favorite things... ~Birthday wishes that include sharing cupcakes with your friends at church,... ~A visit to Websters pond (and a huge bucket of corn given to the birthday girl for feeding the fowl...and the chipmunks!),... ~And a wished-for locket for a girlie with a big, caring heart <3
Oct 26th- A few of my favorite things... ~A line of windows in which each seems to have their own ideas on what to reflect ~A spot of passing sunshine against a gray sky ~Corn fields turning bronze... hardly third place amidst the surrounding golds and silvers
Sept 10th- A few of my favorite things... ~Watching the waning gibbous moon get ready to set for the morning ~Watching the sun rise over fog draped fields ~Rows of corn disappearing into the foggy distance
July 3rd- A few of my favorite things... ~Corn that is almost knee-high by the 4th of July ~Roasting peeps over an open fire ~Watching embers fly high on a near windless night like silent fireworks against the dark sky
June 8th- A few of my favorite things... ~A handful of magic coins that buy... ~Cups of magical seeds... ~That magically summon geese and ducks...and smiles
