Winslow's Second Camping Adventure: Day 5

Winslow was off for another day for fun in the sun at the beach...
well not much sun to be had,
but there is always much fun!

Winslow first tried for a relaxing spa treatment int the sand.

The view was just as relaxing.

Then he went over to inspect the sand creation building of the day.
Then it was off for a walk with Gwyn.

He paused for a view along the way...

...found a mushroom peeking out from under the pine needles.

He also found a piece of rope...
He considered the merits of taking up rock climbing.

But then he decided that picking up amateur
blueberry picking might be a better hobby...
2 feet on the ground at all times.

Then it was back to the beach to watch Shaniah learn to do the back float...
...rescue a moth from the water and put him back on dry land...

...and check out his new decorative lake on his yacht.

Then it was back to the cabin to dry off, warm up,
and check out all the cool treasures we found.

Winslow thought the bark looked cool under the microscope.

Then a cup of hot chocolate and popcorn to warm up with
polished off the afternoon.

Lissie even gave him his own piece!

Then it was off to the Indian Lake Library's science program to make catapults...
...and test them out with marshmallows...

...but eating the marshmallows, not flinging them, was the best park.

Then more books and videos from the library!

The library is one of Winslow's favorite things about Indian Lake...
lots of books to choose from, lots of activities for the girlies...

...and where else in NY
but the Adirondacks
can you play with a logging truck
in children's section?

Winslow is thinking that even without much sun today,
there was still so much fun!
