~A honey bee loading his "saddlebags" full of violet pollen

~Following the soaring turkey vultures toward the setting sun

~A version of Emma that tells the story with great dialogue

~A version of Emma with sumptuous costumes 

~A version of Emma that fills in details that are hard to fit into two hour movies

~Discovering tiny white violets blooming in the garden

~Tiny purple violets enjoying the sunshine and warmth, too

~Finding a tiny pollinator hard at work among the crocuses before the big bees get to work

Mar 24th- A few of my favorite things...

~An evening walk on the cusp of spring and finding a predatory driving beetle looking for a new pond

~A frog and a toad enjoying the evening's warm pavement 

~Large earthworms peeking out at the surface after the day's rain to take a night excursion through the grass

~Spending some time in the afternoon watching a mallard duck couple waddling around the shore of Hiawatha Lake
