Jan 30th- A few of my favorite things...

~A trip down to the old lock with my skiing buddy

~The things you notice in the winter that are hidden the rest of the year

~Waiting to watch the train to pass, and being treated to two, before heading home

Jan 29th- A few of my favorite things...

~A cold winter afternoon listening to chatterboxes make chatterboxes

~Fun to be found paper in folded in regular and diminutive sizes

~Wheels of imagination that figure out how to double the fun...and quadruple it as well!

Jan 28th- A few of my favorite things...

~Learning to do sleeves and trim

~Finding the perfect accent pieces

~Finishing the dress you designed yourself from fabric in your stash and ideas in your mind...Great job, my young designer!

Jan 27th- A few of my favorite things...

~A journey to Green Gables before Anne 

~A legend of The Bard woven into the a suspenseful tale

~A weaver of tales who himself is a legend well-missed

Jan 26th- A few of my favorite things...

~The sunshine sparkling through the icicles on the edge of the shady side of the house

~The sunny side of the park bench

~The sun bouncing off windows making an "X" worthy of a treasure map

Jan 25th- A few of my favorite things...

~The things you notice on foot in the winter... fall's leaves caught in the hedge collecting snow

~Tiny berries turning from blue to white as the snow falls

~A black walnut nestled in the bushes, perhaps left by a squirrel for another day's snack   

Jan 24th- A few of my favorite things...

~The gift of skis...so now I have a skiing buddy 

~The reward of learning a new skill...and learning to blaze your own trail

~The magic that happens when your buddy understands why you love this so much...and goes out a second time!
