The Habit of Appreciation: It's a Wonderful Life

My "Bedford Falls"

As I walked through the first snowfall the other evening,

This was going through

my mind....

"You see, George, you've really had a wonderful life. 

Don't you see what a mistake it would be to throw it away?"

Life is a precious beautiful gift. 

Each day a new day to be thankful 

and pay-it-forward and make someone else' day!

Sometimes we are like George Bailey...
Sometimes we can lose our perspective,
Sometimes we feel like we don't make any difference...
Sometimes we feel like we have nothing...

But that's Ok...
"For whoever would save his life will lose it, 
but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it."
Luke 9:24

The point of life is not what you can get...
...but what you can give

And everyone has something to give:
Time
Thoughts,
Talent,
Treasure

 There’s a sign on the wall in George’s father' office wall that says 

“All you can take with you is that which is given away.”

And at the end, 

Clarence reminds him where true wealth is found:

"Dear George, 

remember no man is a failure who has friends. 

Thanks for the wings, Love Clarence."

Putting those ideas together....

friends and giving and thankfulness...

mixed with contentment...

And you realize,
 truly, 
It's a wonderful life...
...and maybe
 you'll be that
"Clarence" 
that was needed
today!
