Winslow's First Camping Adventure: Day 13

On his last full day of camping, Winslow decided it was time to do the annual walk of the Sacandaga River walks trail in Speculator, NY.
The girls love to walk out to the dock and see the Sacandaga River.
The other thing nice about this trail is that it is handicap accessible.
Winslow loves to see the fragrant waterlilies in bloom...
....and the views of the Mountains are spectacular too.
The purple pickerel weed was a favorite too!
Then it was back to the beach for one last swim...
Winslow tried out a castle another beach-goer built,
but it was a bit big for a little furby.
So he decided to check out Winslow Castle...
But when he saw that his grand castle
had been reduced to ruins after hard rains, he felt a bit sad.
Thea came over and asked him what was wrong.
Then she offered to build him a new castle with Daddy's help.
Winslow was excited...then another thought occurred to him...
he had never been in the water once this vacation!
Moriah offered to carry him out.
It was cold...and he was glad to get his furby feet back onto dry land!
When he came out his new castle was ready!
After occupy it for a for a while, he bequeathed it to the kiddos on the beach.
Winslow wanted one last view of the beach to keep in his memory...
...and to bury Moriah's feet in the sand...that took a while as they are big!
Then Winslow wanted to get his picture in the big chair...but it was too big for one little furby...
but...
Just right with a few friends :-)
That evening Winslow decided to try light painting with the girlies.
He even got to see his name in lights...sort of...
....and for one last gift, he got one more castle to remember his trip by!
Winslow decided it had been a great two weeks.
He wondered what tomorrow would bring!
