Winslow started his day by making drawings with Lissie with ink
made from honeysuckle berries.
(which Winslow wants to remind anyone that they are NOTedible)
THen while letting that dry it was off to Speculator, NY.
He stopped briefly with the girlies to admire the Mason Lake...
Then it was off to the Sacandaga River Walk.
There he found the perfect shelf mushroom
should he ever take up
deer hunting.
Then it was down the boardwalk to the most amazing views of the Sacandaga River!
No matter which way you look, it is always beautiful!
Winslow thinks the walk to the dock is definitely worth the views.
Breathtakingly beautiful.
Then it was back to the playground to have fun with the girlies.
Winslow thinks he found a distant cousin.
He got to ride a frog...that was bigger than him...
dig in the gravel for buried treasure...
and take in more amazing views of the Adirondack Mountains.
He even watched Shaniah balance walking across the chin-up poles.
He even rescued a ball from the ditch.
Winslow thinks it is pretty cool to be in at a school where they
leave out balls of all shapes and colors for the kids to play with...
even in the summer!
Winslow was feeling patriotic so he tried out flying on eagles wings.
Then he went to Chili Nights in Indian Lake for a
fabulous Mexican dinner
He used his best manners and did not disturb
the guy taking a siesta by the wall.
Then it was campfire time with the girlies...
....Thea was ready!
Winslow loved toasting his marshmallow
but this marshmallow, by far, was Winslow's
favorite ;-)
Winslow thinks a toasty, golden brown W is
a wonderful way to end the evening!
